The Main Table Workshop presents:
At our final event, we invited young first volume writers and literary artists from several parts of the country, Budapest, Kecskemét and Debrecen, to give them a taste of contemporary poetry and thinking about it. Our returning musician, Ádám Vőneki, who provides musical accompaniment during the readings.
RÁDAY ZSÓFIA The victory speech of the King of the Silence (2025, Okapi Press) is invited to a mythically familiar world, where the stakes are to break the forced order and recapture the sovereignty of the language. Just as ancient myths, these verses leading through the transformations of wonderful characters are modeling the functioning of society, questioning the compulsive roles (János Áfra)
PAPP-SEBÖK ATTILA's volume Káté (2025, FISZ) extends from an idyllic (though always suspected of pain) rural life to a very modern region of psychology, to painful (though always suspected of joy) situations. His poetry places these pages on each other, the other disappears from under one.
URBÁN ANDREA talks with the authors.
